Passionate Dragon Boat Festival—A Heartfelt Rendezvous with Zongzi

On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month—the Dragon Boat Festival—fragrant zongzi leaves fill the air. To create a joyful festive atmosphere, carry forward our nation’s fine traditions, and allow employees to collectively experience the charm of folk culture, Yubang hosted a lively and heartwarming DIY zongzi-making event at noon on June 24th.
The cafeteria has prepared fresh ingredients—bamboo leaves, glutinous rice, meat, red beans, jujubes, string, and more. The restaurant is filled with the rich aroma of bamboo leaves, and the tables are laden with ingredients for making zongzi.
The experienced “Craft King” sister and the administrative auntie eagerly shared their tips and techniques for wrapping zongzi. During the activity, everyone was fully engaged and attentive, occasionally exchanging jokes and laughter along the way. The seasoned zongzi-makers swiftly picked up the bamboo leaves, rolled them into a funnel shape with both hands, filled them with rice, added dates and meat, pressed them firmly, and tied them with string—all in one smooth motion. Soon, beautifully crafted and sturdy Dragon Boat Festival zongzi were born. Even more skilled colleagues patiently guided several “newbies” step by step right on the spot. Everyone was highly motivated and left the event feeling enriched and fulfilled. As green bamboo leaves danced gracefully in their hands, filling the air with a delightful fragrance, the finished zongzi turned out increasingly exquisite—one after another!
At 4 p.m., the fragrant zongzi were ready. Everyone savored the delicious treats they’d made themselves, savoring the fruits of their labor...
