No life is too small for a fire drill!
　　It is linked to the safety of our lives and property.
　　Preventing "fire" before it starts is the way to go!

　　In order to further strengthen the safety management, enhance the awareness of fire safety of all staff and improve the self-rescue and prevention ability of staff, on 3 June 2020, all staff of Suzhou Yubang conducted the "2020 Annual Fire Drill" in the rain. The whole activity is divided into three processes: emergency evacuation, first aid for the injured and the use of fire fighting equipment (fire extinguisher, fire hydrant), which lasted for one hour.
　　Before the drill, the Administration and Personnel Department carefully planned and organised the drill, specifying the steps, responsibilities of the emergency response team, evacuation routes and other specific requirements, and invited the fire squadron from Taihu Street and the Security Supervisor to provide on-site guidance.

　　Emergency evacuation★
　　At 16:00 p.m., when the cigarette cake was lit and the fire alarm bell sounded, the evacuation officer of each department immediately guided the personnel to evacuate. Employees cover their mouths and noses and pass through the safety exits along the evacuation stairs in an orderly manner to complete the assembly from each area to a safe area. Immediately after assembly, the team leaders counted the number of people and reported that there was one person stranded at the scene. The general coordinator immediately ordered the ambulance team to enter the scene in a flash to carry out search and rescue.

　　First aid casualty first aid★
　　Two minutes later, the casualty is taken out. Next, the EHS worker of the week explains the emergency situations that may be encountered during the escape process. Firstly, they demonstrated emergency treatment such as stopping bleeding and dressing wounds, then judged the casualty's breathing, heartbeat and consciousness, and gave detailed explanations on adjusting the casualty's position, chest compressions, opening the airway and artificial respiration, etc. The first aiders led the practical exercises.

　　Use of fire-fighting equipment★
　　The head of the Taihu Street Fire-fighting Squadron's Longxiang Station, Mr Zhou, explained the types of fires and taught everyone how to distinguish the use of fire extinguishers and the precautions to take when extinguishing fires. Representatives of the department and all the team leaders, supervisors and management of the company took part in the fire-fighting drills, in which all kinds of fire-fighting tools, such as dry powder, carbon dioxide and fire hose, were practised one by one, and they put out the burning fire in the iron barrel with joint efforts.

　　Exercise summary★
　　Station Manager Zhou firstly made professional comments and guidance from the escape area, personnel status, fire extinguishing equipment techniques and precautions. Mr. Zhang and Mr. Xiao made a summary of the exercise. Mr. Xiao stressed again and again that safety is above all else and safety work is the most important thing in all our work. We must always hold the string of safety tightly and take precautions before it happens. In case of emergencies, remember that safety comes first and life is more important than Mount Tai.
